Humans are like Fruits

Yep, you heard me right.

I was skinning off my apple and then it simply occur to me what other words that we could use to describe a human being other than the normal materialistic, kind, pretty, hot, bitchy, pretty on the outside, rotten on the inside or vice versa, we could simply say that they are like fruits!

You could buy a basket full of apples, bring it home and leave it in your fridge or anywhere you normally put your fruits and until the day you want to eat it, you walk over and start picking them up one by one, selecting from either the best looking one to eat or the worst looking one to eat (depending on each individual) or some would just simply pick one up without really minding.

Tonight, I randomly picked one up and when I was washing it, I thought to myself "Woots, I got a pretty looking apple this time" because the skin looks perfect, no dents, nice colouration and as I was skinning it, I noticed it was actually a bit rotten and swollen on the inside.  Well that's still fine but when I was eating it, it didn't taste as good as well =< Less juicy, not as sweet as the ones before which has more rotten looking, wrinkly skin and then it struck me, hey, does this not apply to us human as well?

Many times, not all the time but many a time, those who looks better or is richer or smarter, they look real great on the outside.  They have the looks, they have the brains, put simply, they've got the swag but on the inside, they are really nasty but many a time, those who does not look as good on the outside, they turn out to be real angels on the inside.

The ideal person would be someone who is pretty on the outside, darn pretty on the inside as well but these does not come by regularly but I am fortunate enough to have come by a number of these type of people in my life.  To name one would be my mom.  She's really pretty on the out side, still look darn great for her age now and still have a kind soul.  That being said though, she's got the temper of a tigress buuuuuuuut I will talk about that another time (if I live to tell the tale xD).  Well, no one's that ideal, apparently =P

Fortunately for me though, I've come across those who has the means but yet they still retain the same humility and humbleness like the rest of us, if not more.  The one that I know actually offers a helping hand much more than any of us ever did because first, they can, second, they really are sincere in helping others.  I've actually learnt this from seeing someone close to me, he would never fail to help those in need like an old crippled aunt who always camps outside a certain mall with an old dog or just a little kid who would come and sell small little boxes of mochi.  If he could, he would pay them much more than the amount that it is worth so this shows that sometimes, a person can truly be beautiful on the outside and equally beautiful on the inside.

But of course, there are times when some of them who does not look as good has an equally repulsive enough manner to really just invite everyone else around them for some good free punches and that's really just like fruits.

When you pick one papaya up and just simply judging it by the skin, you might be dead set right about how it taste like just by looking at it or you could be so wrong and that's all for this time!

See you guys real soon! <3

Random Mish strikes again,

Time

"As much as we can't turn back time, time will unfold our stories eventually."  - Mishberries

At least that is one thing I've learnt so far.  Everyday, one of us live in regrets of things that we have done in the past, or at times, things that we did not do in the past.  We re-live the conversations or the actions in our head, frown upon it and shake that thoughts away because there's simply nothing that we can do to change it.  Some of us however, get trapped in that thought and we fail to free ourself from its vine-tight grip, hence despairing and regretting over it more.

Time also changes everything about a person.  Sometimes, even more surprisingly, time does not affect some people and they remain the same after all these years.  Time also pushes you to do things and get things done, when you know your time is nearly up.

Time, all in all, is a very powerful matter in our life.  We can't see it, we can't hold it, we can't hear it, but we keep track of it all the time.  Time to go to bed, time to wake up to start a new day, time to pass up your assignments, time for tea break, competitions, exams, etc.  For something that we cannot grasp, every nanosecond of it has became so important to us and we strap watches to ourselves to remind us of its existence.

Time of birth.  Time of death.  Tick tock.  Tick tock.

Whatever we do, we sleep, we drink, we get high and lose sense of time, time still keeps ticking away and before you realize it, two decades has passed just like that, in a blink of an eye.  I remembered when I was still 2 years old and I fell from the stairs.  Even got stitches as souvenir from it.

One blink of an eye, its 2 decades later and me pondering over this matter.  Time has proven man to be fools but time has also proven man to be invaluable to human history, like Einstein.  Time tells the story like no other.

There was a period of time where I was rash and foolish.  Do things just because I wanted to without thinking of consequences.  Say things before I think how much it would affect the situation.  Many a time, one would say "Just do it, for the heck of it".  It means time has not taught them well but time has taught me well.  It had taught me how to more adaptable, older and wiser.

Not much wiser than I was before but at least, slightly wiser is better than none.  Time has been the factor to push people to take various decisions in their lives.  Pushing people to study hard to graduate on time.  Pushing people to think that being single at the age of nearing three decades is bad because they should have started a family ages ago.  Pushing people to stabbing their friends to get to their position in a company.  Pushing giant companies to sell heavenly price cosmetic product because time will wither a person's youth.  Time, it's all about time and it's all about timing.

At times, that encouragement or push from time drives you on the right track and you do the right thing.  That's call "Right Timing".  Sometimes, that encouragement or push from time make you do crazy things.  That's call "Bad Timing" and "Bad Decisions" but ultimately, you can or cannot blame time.  Time is merely an encouragement, not a deciding factor.  You yourself, are the deciding factor and you hold the decision.

As of these few months and few more months to come, I can see myself, stuck at this cross road with two very different roads.  To put it simply, they are extending in the opposite direction and taking either road will lead me to very different places than where I am today and it reminded me so strongly of the work of Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken.

For all of you who has not read it, it's a short poem where the Author is having a dilemma in his life because he is given two roads to journey on and he knows if he take one road, he might never have the time or opportunity in life to take the other road.

For me, instead of making that journey now, I've decided to sit back and relax at this cross road and time will unfold its story to me, letting me know which road should I take.  Will the grass on the right side of the road flourish better or will the one on the left bloom beautifully?  I wouldn't know, but for this time around, time will be kind and reveal it to me.

Time isn't always this kind but thankfully, for once, it will be kind to me.

Time, our ultimate story teller of the universe.  Time, the holder of all the mysteries of the world and on rare occasions, it let us in on one of its little secrets but most of the time, Time is not that forgiving and far more secretive.

________

The extract of The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost (1920) is penned down here for you:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the one less travelled by
And that has made all the difference.

_______

Lastly, another year has come and it will be gone soon.  Mishberries hereby wishes all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2014 <3

All Our Little Quirks

What's "QUIRK"?

quirks  3rd person singular present, plural of quirk (Noun)

Noun
  1. A peculiar behavioral habit: "his annoying quirks".
  2. A strange chance occurrence: "a strange quirk of fate".

That is what quirk is.  In simple words, it is not just a habit. It is a weird habit that one have.

I was just thinking about it this morning and within 15 minutes, I could name a number of quirks that I have.  I was surprised to be honest, to realize that I actually have quirks.  To think I was normal.  Pft.

Okay, yours truly is very bad at drawing on anything other than MS Paint but I tried >D  Thanks Godbro for lending me your tablet! <3

First of all, I dislike socks.

Yes, socks.

For all of you who comes from a 4 season country you must think I am mad but from where I come from, it is actually pretty normal to NOT wear socks, especially for females.  I am fine with stockings, I just don't like socks.  We don't have winter so most of the time you will catch me with flip flop, sandals, open toes or any other footwear but shoes.

I don't do any form of exercise except one where it requires me to move my lower jaw and upper jaw.  An exercise also known as chewing.  And swallowing.  That's the closest to any form of exercise that I would do, so there's perfectly no reason for me to wear any form of closed toe shoes.

Reason:  I always have trouble with washing socks because I refuse to wash them with any of my other clothing.  I find it disgusting but I will not stand to actually collect an entire basket of socks before I can wash it, so that's the reason why I hate socks.  I don't know how should I wash them.

Second, I used to peel my toe nail when I am under stress.

During assignment days or exam days, I will automatically start peeling my toe nail every time I sit down and have my books opened in front of me.  Of course I know that's even more disgusting that washing socks but it's a quirk, and I can't help it.  Until I tore half of my little toe nail once.

That's a very good lesson to make me stop and I haven't touched any toe nail ever since except for pedicure purposes.

Third, I am a very needy person.  With my blanket.

Be the weather hot or cold, I MUST have my blanket covered up till my neck before I can actually sleep.  Even if I am taking a nap at 2 in the afternoon at a 33°C weather where it makes my sleep so uncomfortably sweaty and sticky.

I can't help it, it's a quirk.

Reason:  I feel insecure without my blanket ;_;  Like I said, I am very needy of my blanket, oh Mr Blanket <3

Fourth, (which I personally think a lot of you have this as well >D), no nail no finger no toe OUTSIDE of the bed frame.  Each inch of my body must be within the bed's perimeter at ALL times.

Yes I know there's no Boogie man or even if there is one, my bed's frame is made of solid wood so I don't think Boogie man can hide underneath it BUT still, I can never, ever sleep safely if any part of my body is over the perimeter of the bed.  It's just, wrong.

"Mish, put your darn finger back into the blanket, RIGHT NOW!" is what my brain would alert me when I put a nail out of the line.

Fifth, I always save the best for the last (in food).

I've gotten this numerous time.

"Why don't you start with the main course instead of the side dishes?"
"Wouldn't the nicest part of your food gets cold and then it won't be nice anymore?"
"Aren't you afraid of anyone eating your favourite food because they though you cannot finish it?"

I just can't.  I simply have to finish my least favourite portion of the meal before I start on my favourite food because it's just so satisfying to eat the best pieces at the very last few mouthful.  It's a feeling of satisfaction.

Well I eat pretty fast, so the food is still pretty warm by the time I finish it :D

No.  They will have to get past me first before they can touch my food.

This are some of the quirks that I have, or at least I realize I have.  Some people don't even realize their own quirks, for e.g.  my mom >D

She has this quirk of staring at people when she's eating.

Well not stare per se, it just appear as though she is staring but according to her, she did it unconsciously and she is simply looking everywhere absent mindedly instead of having her whole face blasted by the steam that is coming from the food and she is simply eating and not thinking of anything but for anyone who is sitting opposite her aka me or her friends, it really does seem like she is staring intently at your face and every time we ask her "yeah? anything?" she will say "no" then it appears as though she is thinking of something about you but she is not telling.  But no, it's just a quirk lol.  If you ever have a meal with my mom, you will know >D

(In all honesty, I think I do that at times as well but because of my micro size eyes, people usually don't realize.  Should I be happy or sad? I can't decide.)

These are just few example of quirks that I have.  I have read somewhere that for some people when they lie, you can tell immediately (but only if you are close to the person to begin with) because they will exhibit certain tell-tale signs such as rubbing their nose or ruffling through their hair, things like that.

So what about you?  Have you given any thought on this?  What's YOUR quirk? Let me know in the comment section below! <3

50 Things a Girl Would Want but Not Ask For - Yay or Nay?

This morning  I was blasted yet again with something like this:

"50 things a girl would want but not ask for" and the lists goes on and on and on and on and on.  I stopped at Number 10 and thought to myself:

Then I started thinking that all this people (female) are ridiculous for wanting all this things (read below) (no I am kidding, don't read it, ain't nobody got time for that man):

1. Touch her waist.
2. Actually talk to her.
3. Share secrets with her.
…4. Give her your jacket.
5. Kiss her slowly.

Are you remembering this?
6. Hug her.
7. Hold her.
8. Laugh with her.
9. Invite her somewhere.
10. Hangout with her and your friends together.

11. Smile with her.
12. Take pictures with her.
13. Pull her onto your lap.
14. When she says she loves you more, deny it. Fight back.
15. When her friends say “I love her more than you”, deny it. Fight back and hug her tight so she can’t get to her friends. It makes her feel loved.

Are you thinking of someone?
16. Always hug her and say I love you whenever you see her.
17. Kiss her unexpectedly.
18. Hug her from behind around the waist.
19. Tell her she’s beautiful.
20. Tell her the way you feel about her.

One last thing you need to do to show her you actually do mean it.
21. Open doors for her, walk her to her car - it makes her feel protected, plus it never hurts to act like a gentleman.
22. Tell her she’s your everything - only if you mean it.
23. If it seems like there is something wrong, ask her - if she denies something being wrong, it means SHE DOESN’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT - so just hug her.

24. Make her feel loved.
25. Kiss her in front of OTHER girls you know!

WE MIGHT DENY IT BUT WE ACTUALLY LIKE AND KINDA WANT YOU TO TICKLE US ..
26. Don’t lie to her.
27. DON’T cheat on her.
28. Take her ANYWHERE she wants.
29. Text message or call her in the morning and tell her have a good day at school, and how much you miss her.
30. Be there for her whenever she needs you, and even when she doesn’t need you, just be there so she’ll know that she can always count on you.

ARE YOU STILL READING THIS? YOU BETTER, BECAUSE IT’S IMPORTANT.
31. Hold her close when she’s cold so she can hold you too.
32. When you are alone hold her close and kiss her.
33. Kiss her on the cheek; (it will give her the hint that you want to kiss her).
34. While in the movies, put your arm around her and then she will automatically put her head on your shoulder, then lean in and tilt her chin up and kiss her lightly.

35. Don’t ever tell her to leave even jokingly or act like you’re mad. If she’s upset, comfort her.

REMEMBER ALL THESE THINGS WHEN YOU ARE WITH HER NEXT ..
36. When people diss her, stand up for her.
37. Look deep into her eyes and tell her you love her.
38. Lay down under the stars and put her head on your chest so she can listen to the steady beat of your heart, link your fingers together while you whisper to her as she rests her eyes and listens to you.
39. When walking next to each other grab her hand.
40. When you hug her, hold her in your arms as long as possible.

MAKE SURE SHE KNOWS SHES LOVED.
41. Call or text her at night to wish her sweet dreams.
42. Comfort her when she cries and wipe away her tears.
43. Take her for long walks at night.
44. Always remind her how much you love her.
45. Sit on top of her and tell her how much you love her and then bend down to her face and kiss her while you’re sitting on her.

ULTIMATE LOVE
46.  Buy her things that she hinted she likes.
47.  Be very nice and courteous to her side of her family.
48.  Ditch your game for her when she needs you.
49.  Never let her wait on you.
50.  Bring her to all the places that she wants to go.

(yes I am silently mocking fifty shades of grey, problem?)

I mean, what the heck is all of this?  We female are just a normal person like you and me.  We don't need a guide to our partner on 'how to' or 'what to' do or how a person should treat us.

And even more annoying, if you want something you should ask.  Why wait?  And if you are going to wait but it never happens, then you feel disappointed or sad.  That's  just asking for it, isn't it?  And I believe that I don't need to check on everything on that list ot show that he loves me.  I don't need him to do each number to let me know that he is in love with me and what, is this list exhaustive or repetitive?  How often does a guy have to do this in a month?  Or does he have to do this every other day?  Or is this one list to last for an entire life time?

E.g.  Number 25:  Why not change that sentence to Public Display Affection.  Sounds just about the same.

And I've also thought that won't guys feel that their girlfriend is super needy or attention seeking or "What did I do?  Why is she upset?"  I thought all this are simply female's expectation of what a boyfriend or a husband should be but seriously, what about putting yourself in their shoes?  What if today, the net is filled with list of 100 THINGS OF WHAT A GUY WANTS BUT NEVER ASK, and when you (female) don't do what's on the list, your boyfriend throws a tantrum or accuse you of not loving him enough?  I will simply give you the eyebrow:

MS Paint strikes once more!  Mr Skeptical Eyebrow!

However, all this are simply my thoughts and assumptions and to prove one is right, one gotta ask the right person so I shamelessly interrupted 4 male friends early in the morning to ask their opinion on this.  My exact question was:

"What's your opinion when you see those list posted by girls like "50 things guys must do" Do you disagree or do you actually agree with it?"

"Those list are ridiculous"

"Who the hell expect guys to follow it?"

"This girls are hopeless"

....was what I expect to hear.  Instead, what I actually got was (which surprised me)

"Tbh I actually read them.  I don't think they apply to everybody (that'd be stereotyping) so I just keep in mind and try to apply whichever is relevant.  Just a fun read, that can be useful at times :P"

"For me i think its a fun read.  Errr...well...yeah i think i can agree to some of it.  If the list sounds too one sided i would not agree though"

"I'm agreeing with it, hahaha"

"From what I can see it's just like someone who's begging for affirmation.  The fact that it's 24/7 is kinda ugh Can't I just trust her to know I love her?  On that note this checklist seems like a rapist's/molestor's dream"

HAHAHA at the last one.  But it is surprising to find that 3 out of 4 of my male friends actually think it's okay to have such a list! o.o  Now that is REALLY surprising.

Then it struck me.  Perhaps if there is really a list of 50 Things that a Guy Wants but not Ask, perhaps I would actually take the time or at least have interest to read it, rather than reading 50 things that a Girl wants.  Perhaps it's because I am a female myself therefore I think such list is 'nah, urgh, boo' but put it the other way round, I would want to know what my male counterpart is thinking or do things that would please them, just as how le boyfriend or le husband wants to do things to please their female counterpart as well.

So, I asked these few guys another question:

"Do you think that there should be a list like that from male to female? Because most of the ones we see out there is from female to male"

"mm imo nope :P  if I have any particular preferences, I'd prefer my gf discover them through myself or observation, rather than me blatantly stating them on a list lol. "  <-- Well, that's my exact thought on the girl's list >.>  So we think the same when we are on the other side >D

"Err...idk.got mix feeling like one part seems like interesting read and one part is it would sound gay.  I guess it depends on how good it is delivered i guess"

"i cant wait to read that hahahha"

So this time, it is a mixed feeling thing for guys to read or think if it's necessary to have a list of guide for girls to let them know what their male counterpart likes without telling them.

All I can sum up is, in the end such list perhaps is not as useless as what I thought it would be, at least for their counterparts.  The sex where the list is aimed for perhaps might think its useless but their counterpart might think differently.  I guess it's always different when we see things from another perspective.  A pretty interesting perspective in this matter, I would say.

So anyways, I've further threaded on these few kind guy's courtesy and ask them to come up with few things that a guy would like a girl to do for them for your sake <3

1.  Cook a nice meal when they comes back from work.
2.  Gives him a big, tight hug when your guy is stressed from work.
3.  Letting your guy do his hobby.
4.  Not getting too friendly with his bros.
5.  Wearing his T-shirt or hoodie and game like bro.
6.  Girls who wears spectacles, not hipster spectacle but spectacle.

Yeah well, the list ain't too long because some of the things that they want from their girlfriend is actually the same as some of the list from What a girl wants so that one same list could be used vice versa towards your guy and I believe that they would appreciate it just as much as you do.

At the end of the day, I still gotta agree with this male friend where he mentioned:

"Well on top of my list would be having a girl to love and accept me for who I am.  I think that's the single most important thing to me, beyond that it's mostly petty preferences"

and that's what I think what my partner should be too.  Accepting of who I am, love who I am be it when I am being an ass, bitch, spoiled, nice, angel, devil or any other form that I can take and the same goes to him.  We all have our differences but it is learning and the ability to adapt to each others differences that makes the relationship lasts.  If you really can't accept each others differences, it would be better if the relationship just stop at being just friends as it will bring you nowhere.

First 3 months of every relationship >D

Following months / years of relationship until it ends >D

To the 4 male friends, thank you for your interesting feedbacks.  <3

How about the rest of you?  I would love to know what you think.  Let me know!

Dramas Indefinitely Happens

-Dramas:  Feeding the World negativities since xx B.C.-

Drama Indefinitely Happens

When more than one person co-exist.

Unless if you count having a mental drama with yourself but it is the inexplicable truth that drama definitely and WILL happen when there's more than one person in a certain given radius irregardless of their gender.

The type of drama that I meant is the emotional dramas that happens between you and someone else.  It's not those type of talent where you win an Oscar prize for it.  It's where and when you make your enemies, harness hate and gossips, shedding tears, breaking friendship or relationship, shoutings, backstabbing, spreading rumours and every other unpleasant things that you can think of.

It could happen online, at home, forum, work place, school, entertainment parks, photoshoot session, this, that, up, down, left, right, everywhere.  It's like this undying viral disease that has existed since Adam & Eve's time and the snake is the one that caused all the drama.

A wise man once told me:  If dramas could severe your own blood-family ties, drama will indefinitely happen between two strangers who are put together by circumstances and not by choice:  e.g. a project where you have to recruit people other than your usual own gang, joining a new work place, collaborating with new people that you have no experience working with etc etc.

It seems to me that most of the time, drama happens because of territorial insecurities.  Cliques or gangs tries to exert their rights or control over the minorities so the minorities either gets absorbed into the clique or they are singled out as easy target and that's when the beauty of drama begins.

Drama knows no sex, gender, sexual orientation nor the time and place.  It could happen anytime, anywhere and it could happen to anyone.  This three reminds me of omnipresent, omniscience and omnipotent lol!  No, drama does not equal God but there could always be God-level dramas.  >D  We have the drama queens, drama kings, drama secretary, the drama starter, drama encourager, drama sacrifice and every other positions that you can be part of.  Drama in soccer, drama within a drama, drama in the bedroom, drama everywhere.

Heck, so many tv shows made tons of money out of all this drama!  Celebrity reality shows, America's Next Top Model (ooh lala), The Apprentice, Cake Boss, CSI (drama within drama lol) and these are the famous ones among others.

Even Youtube celebrities gets drama.  Michelle Phan, the famous Youtube Make-up Artist has an entire forum dedicated to her just to hating her and I hate to say this, but her ONE THREAD in that forum has got more members, views and comments that I get in a month all put together lol!  And what's worst, I believe 98% of her hates have never met her before!  They just hate her, *snaps finger* like that!

Hating someone seems to be one of the easiest thing to do because it costs you nothing of value and you can just conjure hate out of thin air.  "I hate her guts" "I hate her attitude" "I hate his face" Bla bla bla.  Yada yada yada.  Babbles.

This entire post deserves an award.  An award for negativity x 100% lol.  And it is saddening to see that a lot of people at a lot of times and a lot of occasion does not see all this negativity happening around them.  They are involved in one drama or more and yet they either does not seem to realize they are in one or they are just truly enjoying of being in one.

Being in a drama, hating someone else, gossiping.  I find all this pretty tiring and never forget one thing:  Karma.  You could be having a drama with person A this time around and you have your gang backing you up this time but the next victim might just be you.  What goes round WILL come around and it's coming back at you pretty fast.  So I will say watch out.

It's always better to be sincere around others.  Say things straight forwardly even if it might sounds a bit offending at first because in the long run, it will serve you far better for being honest than being a hypocrite.  E.g. If you find me adjusting your laptop's brightness every time I use your laptop annoying, you gotta tell me if I did not stop doing that.  Tell me once and I will remember to adjust the laptop brightness back to it's original state, the way you like it rather than telling 10 or 15 person more about how I have this bad habit of adjusting your laptop brightness and not adjusting it back because telling one person is less tiring than telling 15 others and telling me once would rectify the problem.  Telling 15 times to 15 others and I will still be repeating the same thing because I simply don't know that whatever I am doing is annoying you!

And saying something behind a person's back does not make you the good guy or the polite guy.  It simply makes you a coward and a person who wants to create drama out of nothingness but what the heck, I do know a few people who cannot live without dramas.  It's as though they will die without one.

My message for today:

Strip yourself OFF this drama!

Strip yourself OFF this negativity!

Don't strip MORE than necessary!  That will invite more drama!  Especially when your company is your friend's lover!

Bras & Bikinis - The Difference?

Both cover's up a girls' body in a sensual way and they both look almost the same so what's the difference?

Easiest difference to tell is:  One pushes your boobs up to your ears and the others shows itself in its natural state.  Well, it kinda applies for push-up bras *shrugs*

Anyways!  What I wanted to talk about is how a girl would react when a guy sees a girl in bras or bikinis.  The difference in their reaction is like Heaven and Earth.  Girls struts their beautifully carved body and assets on the beach with the skimpiest bikinis ever invented out there that you do wonder how do they stay on with just two bare strings (or one interconnected string for G-Strings) whereas if a guy walks into a girl who was changing her clothes but fully clad in her bra and underwear, she screams her head off!  I bet many of you wondered about the same thing too!

What I can conclude from is that this is simply the difference of whether or not there was prior consent.  One is done willingly and voluntarily while the other, it felt like someone had intruded upon your sacred moment with the worst vulgar action ever because that sense of security has been forcefully taken away.  The best example that I could come up with is the difference between consented sex and rape (which goes for both genders) so you would roughly know what I mean.  They both involves the same action (I believe unless you have an out of the world fetish) but the outcome is so different.  One brings out the love in both parties whereas the other is just downright- I don't even want to talk about it.

I believe it goes the same with guys as well and not just us girls but perhaps on a lower level of hysteria case.  Guys too strut and show their toned bodies at the beach but walk into them while they are changing (bottoms clothed) they might do a flip or squeal like a little lady too.  One's body does not simply change from just a gaze but it is mostly the mental part that you've intruded upon uninvited.

What do you know?  It not only applies to us human but it applies to our childhood cartoon character as well!  Take a look at this!

Never Forget the 3 Types of People in Your Life

One, those who have helped when you were in your difficult times.

Two, those who had left you when you were in your difficult times.

Three, those who'd put you in your difficult times.

____________________________________________

I came across this so-called principle today and I immediately thought of the old saying "Forgive and Forget".  So what are we supposed to do now?  Are we really to forgive and forget a wrong that was done onto us?  Are we actually CAPABLE of forgiving AND forgetting?

What about you?  Are you the Forgive and Forget type or Forgive but NOT Forget?

I believe up till now, most of us has been 'hurt' or 'wronged' by someone close to us be it your partner, your best friend or just a friend that you thought you could trust.  So what happens after you are wronged?  Do you guys break off the friendship or you simply mend it?  If you DO mend it, what happens next?  You have forgiven the person yes, but would you actually forget what the person has done?

From past experience, I am the forgive but not forget type because I find it impossible to just slip this piece of memory off my mind.  I could push it to the furthest corner my brain could store but it will still be there somewhere.  If only my memory wasn't being such a scumbag during exams where my trusted motto applies:  Study and WILL, MOST DEFINITELY forget.  Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way.

My mom is the forgive and forget type because there are times when someone else brought up things that happened sometime ago and she has no recollection of that event happening so I guess the old saying does apply somehow, in certain cases :D

I am sure there are some among us who does NOT forgive and does NOT forget.  I always find it easier to forgive someone for their mistakes but it has proven very hard to forget about it because that feeling of being misunderstood or blamed or victimized, it's much harder to store that memory away.

Anyways, back to today's post, it would seem that the principle stands solid for me.  I am not able to forget those who has helped me in my troubled times.  If I am able to that, I will label myself as a heartless bish and a A-Class Ungrateful person.

Two, I might just totally forget about the person that would ditch me when I am in troubled waters, skipping through the forgiving part conveniently because people like this does not deserve your attention nor sorrows towards them.

Third, WHO in the right mind would actually forget someone who TRIED to DROWN them?!  You could forgive the person if it was done unintentionally (like kicking you full int he face accidentally when you tried to resurface and stuff) but would you actually forget?  I don't think so!  Morever so if it was done intentionally!  You would be mental to actually forgive and forget such person lol -> at least that's my honest opinion :D

Well enough about me, what about you?

Enough of depressing post :D  Some random coordinates throughout the weekend! <3

Misunderstood Single / Only Child

Yesterday, out of curiousity I googled "Single Child" and the top 5 results that came out are this:

Tell me what do YOU think about it?  I think it's fairly insulting truth be told.  First of all, the repetition of the word 'syndrome'.  Wikipedia, our forever faithful friend, defined Syndrome as:

Clinically recognize features.  Now that is not very nice isn't it.  Other than being branded as a person having clinically recognize features, a single child person cannot run off from being branded as the following in the most commonly used terms in numerical order:

ONE.  SPOILED BRAT.  This is the number 1 name calling that single child gets (not deserve) when asked if they have siblings and they say no.
Two.  Selfish
Three. Bossy
Four.   Lonely
Five.    Maladjusted
Six.      Troubles with social skills
Seven.  Craves attention
Eight.    Nasty and stubborn

The list goes on and on and never ending and most of it are pointing towards the negative side of a human being.  According to Wikipedia, one is even dubbed as the "Little Emperor", which is saying someone who gets whatever they want anytime they want, subtlety or crudely saying that a single child is spoiled or overly pampered by their parents that their every whim is attended to.   Trust me, we get scoldings and spankings more than you ever did because well, my parents can't just shout at some non-existing sibling that I don't have so when they have to yell at someone, that would be me, and only me.  There is no CARTER, GET DOWN HERE!  Or VERONICA WHY DID YOU PROVOKE YOUR SISTER!  It's MICHELLE YOU COME HERE THIS INSTANCE! or MICHELLE WHY DID YOU EAT GRANDMA'S CAKE? or MICHELLE I KNOW IT'S YOU WHO DREW ON THE WALL, NOT YOUR IMAGINARY FRIEND JENNIFER! You get the picture.

Then let me ask you, what did single child ever do to deserve all this name branding?  Just because a person does not have siblings does not mean they are naturally the nastiest or most selfish person on Earth, nor are they socially awkward around people.  Just because someone HAS siblings does not mean the person has leadership quality, kind and caring and shares everything they has.

On the VERY CONTRARY, I would've thought that a single child is MORE willing to SHARE their things because they never have the need of being protective or territorial over their space or toys that most people with siblings would feel, unless if of course their age gap is huge.

I would also believe that single child are people who matures faster than children with siblings simply because, you can't expect their parents to talk gugu gaga to them all the time.  They are more attentive and sensitive to adult's conversation rather than their peers because ever since young, they have been exposed to adult (parents) talking and even though a child might not be able to respond or communicate fluently, their still comprehend.  They get the gist of what the adults are talking about and because of constant exposure and 'hanging out' with adults, they actually get a sense of the real world faster than children with siblings who are constantly dolled up with fairy tales of Santa or Tooth Fairy or fighting to see who gets the last limb of that poor toy.

I've even read a report about one problem that single child has - talking to themselves and having imaginary friend.  The last time I checked, almost EVERY child, regardless or not whether they are the only child or not TALKS to THEMSELVES and HAVE imaginary friend!  So JUST because they are the only child, this automatically becomes a PROBLEM for them and it's deemed completely NORMAL for kids with siblings?  What nonsense is this?!  It's like telling a single child that its a crime to have a toy but it would be alright if that same toy was given and shared between two kids.

Do you guys see just how conceited and judgmental you guys are?

Generally, only child do not have much problem in their social environments because if they could understand adults and converse with them in adult topic, it is very likely that they are able to converse with their peers.  It's like knowing how to do algebra first and then only starting to get to know how to do adding and subtraction.  Easy peasy.  Perhaps the ONLY reason they are not very keen to be socially friendly with their peers is because they think that whatever they are talking about is too kiddish or immature for them, heh.  That is also a reason why only child likes to talk to people beyond their age, because they feel like the topic is more synced to their thinking.

Only child also feels a heavier sense of responsibility, contrary to others beliefs who thinks only child are spoiled, insensitive brat who has no sense of whatever is going around the world and is only stuck in their own world and that the world revolves around them.  If you are thinking of that, you have got it wrong.  That applies to those tycoon's kids who were taught that money can buy the world.  If you are rich but your parents taught you that money isn't everything, parents, good job, you have done parenting right.

Why would I say only child has a heavier sense of responsibility?  I can explain it in a mathematical term:  Probability.  When you have multiple siblings, say 4 siblings, the probability of having 1 successful kid and 3 useless kids is split into the ratio of 1:3  The probability of having 2 successful kids and 2 useless kids is a 50% chance thing.  You get the picture.  When you have siblings, chances for them to succeed is higher, thus when their parents reaches the age of say 65, they would have at least 1 kid who will have the means to take care of them.  If they are lucky, they might have 2 or 3 or even all 4 kids who had succeeded in life and then take care of them.

A single child, if you are useless, your parents are screwed.  If you are successful, the burden is still all on you to take care of everything:  Your life and both your parents life.  That's 3 lives that you have to take care of single handedly.  Siblings can still divide costs, monthly allowance and everything among themselves.  Even just having one other sibling, you are able to lighten up your burden by half but for single child, you do not have that choice.  As you grow up in life, you would know that you have to shoulder the entire burden and thus, setting the single child's character to be a person with a sense of responsibility.

If you think all that I've said above is not true, fine, that is up to you but the upcoming one that I am going to say is undeniable, as much as you want to.  Single child BONDS with their parents in a manner unlike to others that you have ever known.  This does not have to be explained.  I dare say any single child who reads this will definitely agree with me.  You have no idea how magical that bond is between a single child and their parents so parent's don't worry.  You will never even hear of one old folks home name.

Single child also suffers lesser inferiority complex because they are not constantly compared to their siblings who perhaps outshines them.  Though parents always says they love all their child equally, at times it is harder to maintain that equal love especially if you have two very different child and the odd one out will feel even more neglected that they already are in the first place.

I mean, even you also can't help liking person A more than person B right? >D

Another interesting fact is, if a single child runs into problem, the first person that they would call up is their parents no matter how bad the problem is.  The worst the problem the faster they dial their parent's phone number.  They do not confide that much with their peers unlike people with siblings, they confide in their peers or their own siblings but never their parents.

Just a small tip:  Do you know that being friends with a single child actually benefits you as well?  Because single child parents are terrified that their kid would be lonely, thus always being extra nice and extra friendly to their kid's friends.  Free car rides, free food, free movies and almost anything that they could give to their child, they might give it to you too because single child parents do feel guilty for not giving the single child a sibling, thus if they see that their child have a nice companion, they would automatically be nice and loving towards their child's companion as well.

I am not saying it's better to be a single child or it's bad to have siblings.  All I am saying is its very unfair to have all this branding and judging going on around for single child.  Single child too, have feelings.  We do not like those looks that you guys have on your face when we say that we are single child.  It is the look of "ooooooooooooooh, that explains why you are so spoiled'.  That is pure nonsense.  Anyone can be stubborn.  Anyone can be a social outcast and anyone can be nasty and no just single child person.

DON'T HATE ME FOR BLOGGING THIS, ALL OF YOU WITH SIBLINGS OUT THERE! :DDDDDDD

Given the Chance / Forced to Say Whatever's on Your Mind for 2 Hours in Your Entire Life

Would be the most disastrous 2 hours of the existence of your life.

Everyone would start stabbing each other with a knife.  I foresee that this will be worst than a zombie apocalypse because everyone's limb is 100% functioning.  No slow walking or dragging limbs zombie after you.  Some of them could just Bolt (Usain) their way towards you and give you a karate chop straight at your face.

What are you going to do?

Needless to say we are living in a society full of hypocrites or just some that don't dare to say whats on their mind, those who are beating around the bush but it due to this  "courtesy" that we are able to live in peace with each other to a certain extent.

Rachel  :  I've lost weight till 48 kg!!
mish     :  Awesome!! That's so light!
(inner voice:  but your hips still looks like a hippo)

We are always throwing compliments around and says the best that we could see in people but that's because really, how are we going to go about telling people the worst that we have seen in them even if we wish to?  It's like telling a woman her facial feature is superbly pretty but her nose is off centre.  That's like courting death itself.

No matter what we say to others, there will always be a line or a filter where there are some other things that we have thought of but we are not able to say it, provided if we aim to hurt or to savage a relationship then of course you can say it.  Most of the time we just keep it to ourselves because these are thoughts that do not have to be made known to others.

Everyone is always hiding something and it is this little voice that keeps the peace at bay.  Imagine telling everyone everything without a filter or a full stop.

Phil    :  Thanks for your present!  But I don't really like it.  I mean, this book that you have given me isn't even the genre that I always read and why the hell did you get me a soft cover book?  Looks cheap, feels cheap and even makes me look cheap when I am holding it!

You get the picture.  This World would be in chaos if such an invention were ever to be invented.  Perhaps it is not about being a hypocrite but rather to know when you should hold your tongue and be courteous.  There is no such thing as being 100% truthful or honest with whatever you say unless if you are prepared to abandon ship and live alone for the rest of your life, severing ties from your kins and friends.

The only person who is probably nearest to the point of being 'truthful' is Taylor Swift with all her break up songs >D

And for the record, I will hide myself in a cupboard, shutting myself from the outside world for that 2 hours.  No human interaction please!!

Misunderstood Mayans or Trolling Mayans

Dear Diary,

Today is the 22nd of December 2012.  Once again, I've been lied to.  The lesson here is:  never to trust what people say.  Especially what is said 2,000 years ago.

MAYANS!  PFT!  YOU LIED!!!!!!!!! TO the WHOLE WORLD!  How could you do this?!

Lol, just kidding.

It's a relief knowing that yesterday wasn't the end of the World though a small part of me was a bit let down.  I woke up and the first thing I did was to run to the balcony and looked down on the roads and cars.

No car alarms ringing.  Good sign.  Clear weather.  Another good sign.  Finally, people walking around normally and not limping or looking green and dead.  Awesome, time to hit the bath and start my day.

Of course before the 21st, even when I said I do not believe that the World will end, there's no harm in doing a few things which I would be sorry if I did not do and the World DID come to an end by any chance:

1.  Telling both my parents that I love them so much.
2.  Telling them tips on survival so that we could meet again one day.
3.  Stashing up some food and water.
4.  Coming up with survival plans and what to wear if I am to go on the run.
5.  Lay my freaking hands on that iPhone 5.
6.  Getting laid.   (Un)Fortunately, there was no random guy around to carry on this wish.

Lol, just kidding.  (The pink font was just some fantasy of mine that if I ever write a diary, it will be a girly diary full of flowers, ponies and everything pink)

Joke aside, I went home early and stayed in my room the whole night both on Friday and Saturday just so that I would not be caught in any crazy commotions (if any).  Feasted like a King on Friday lunch (when it was announced that end of the World is postponed to 2 p.m.) in case if that is our last meal (courtesy thanks to my Godparents <3).

When evening came and still no sign of apocalypse, we feast once more to celebrate Winter Solstice <3  Went home, played a bit of Pottermore, chat or Skype with my love ones and then go to bed and I greeted Saturday by snoozing on my alarm clock 3 freaking times.

So, what about the overly acclaimed accurate Prophecy?  What has gone wrong?

Have we

MISUNDERSTOOD THE MAYANS?

or..

WERE WE TROLLED BY MAYANS?!

Yes, that's my MS Paint skill once more!  \o/  Okay, that is really because I absolutely have no idea how to work other drawing programs and MS Paint is the easiest of them all.  ;_;

According to reports, link here, there was a serious flaw when the Mayans calculate and the REAL (yet again) end of the World is supposed to be on 2015 and not 2012.

My mom spoke the true words of wisdom:  "I've heard all this apocalypse thing ever since I was young but each time, it appears only to be a false alarm".  Why words of wisdom?  She is over half a century old, faced xx times apocalypse rumour and still she gave birth to a big fat baby (i.e. me) and I am nearly a quarter of Century.  Oh goat, so old (meeehh).

Still, we are all going to leave this Earth one day, whether ceremoniously or unceremoniously so why the big fuss over this one date?  I keep thinking of it as a marketing scheme and some overly populated rumour made by businessman or we just need something more interesting in our lives every decade or so.  The Y2K, the End of the World.  Good franchise ideas for movie producers.

Now we will spend the next 3 years watching End of the World 2, The 3 years after Tomorrow (doesn't make sense but /shrug) and endless titles, until the next apocalypse.

Good news is guys, we all get to go on with our boring lives.  Bad news?  Not sure if there are any.   We will simply have to wait until the next hurdle come so in the mean while, take it as a motivation to push you towards your goal and keep thinking that you only have the next 3 years to do it.  Be it your career, relationship, building a small empire in your bank, travelling, health, physical appearance, strive to reach a new height.

Good luck guys.

Thank you, the people of Mayan .  We owe you one.

Be Thankful for Being Able to Read This

If you are reading this right now, be thankful.

No, not to God, okay if you are a Believer (NOT BelieBer) then yes, be thankful to God and also your parents/yourself (whichever one it is) because this is proof that you are currently sitting in a sheltered place, have a laptop/computer with internet connection to go online to, or some of you who are reading this via your mobile phone, be thankful once more because you own a smart phone!

Be thankful, because you own all this gadgets.  Be thankful that you have a fully functional computer/laptop instead of worrying when the next meal is.

Be thankful that you have an education or job waiting ahead of you tomorrow instead of worrying where that bullet is hitting who next.

Be thankful that you are doing your own laundry instead of not having proper clothing during a cold winter or a pair of sandals to walk on that scorching hot ground.

Many a time ALL of us open our ungrateful mouth to swear or complain about something such as the hot weather or traffic jam and we forgot that we are simply trap in the comfort of our car with air cond and radio to accompany us.

We forgot that while we go on and on about how God is unfair for not giving us a better body or a better face, our boss is unfair for not giving me the bonus that I think I deserve, money is simply not enough, not enough to go shopping, not enough to own another smartphone or SSD card, not enough camera lenses, not enough this that left right up down, we just simply forget that at certain part of the world, poverty is at large.

People are dying of hunger by the hour.  People are getting hit, shot, abused and murdered as the clock ticks away.  Kids are being enslaved to work inhuman hours at factory fixing up all those smart, sleek gadget that we hold comfortably in our pockets protected by a screen protector and a phone bumper.  Kids being used as sex slaves.  Drug traffickers.  Beggars, where they amputate kids limbs just so they can beg on the street.

I am sorry, this post isn't suppose to be depressing or anything of that sort.  I am just saying, we should be VERY thankful, that we are born normal.  With a normal functioning brain, limbs, organs, speech and eye sight.  We do not have to have a spectacular brain like Steven Spielberg or James Cameron.  We do not have to have a one-of-a-kind voice like Celine Dion or limbs like Michael Phelps.

I am thankful every single day that I have a family that loves me, an extra God-Family that loves me.  My friends that loves me.  My bosses.  My colleagues.  Even strangers on the road who sometimes smile back at me when I smile at them.  I love every single one of them. And I am thankful for having them in my life.

Of course at times they annoy the crap out of me, including my dearest ones but apart from that and bills that are going to be due, I realized that my life is already quite complete in some ways.  I've finished my education.  I've found a job.  I have a circle of close people whom I know I can always turn to for help.

I don't have to constantly worry about how many hours would I have to go without food till the next meal comes.  I don't have to constantly worry about getting woken up in the middle of the night due to some bombing or gun-shooting sound going right outside that thin wall that is sheltering me.   I don't have to constantly worry about not having a bed to sleep for the night.

I have transport.  I have shelter.  I have food.  I have love.  This are all the necessities that I need.  Things that I need, and I have it all already.  Things that I want, that's a very long list to go, but those are not things that I need and I can live just right without them.  Having them is like getting an extra bonus.  Not having them, it doesn't affect me much.

Imagine not having enough layers of clothing to go through that horrible winter that is coming.  Or not having enough water to drink during the drought.  I don't even want to imagine that because it's just too horrible.

We even have the luxury to go travelling at some point of our time.  We did not end up being maids to others (because if you are, you won't be reading this).  We did not end up being handicapped and is challenged by everyday life.

We are born just normal.  And I am thankful of it.  So should you.  Take a small little peace time and be just thankful for existing on this Earth and being surrounded by all that you beautiful things and people that you have now instead of being somewhere else at this very moment and constantly living in fear.

Be thankful, for being able to read this.  (Amen)

Have You Painted Your Future?

What's your future like?  Do you have any idea?

Are you the type of person who goes with the flow?  Or the type that has your future laid down right in front of you?

Or you are somewhere in between?

I am one of those who are somewhere in between because sometimes it appears so clearly to me where I am going but at times, no matter how hard I try to look, all I can see (or imagine) is a canvas full of abstract painting trying to take shape of something but it couldn't.

At this very point of time, at 2153 p.m. on 6th November 2012, the painting of my future is in abstract.  So many openings.  So many opportunities.  So much uncertainties.  So where do I begin?

There are only 3 clear object in my mind now that I could see myself have in the near future:-

i.  A new car;
ii.  iPhone 5;
iii. Secret :D  (time will reveal everything, don't worry)

As to the rest like my job, my friends, relationships and all, I have no idea where this path is leading to.  Is it leading to a meadow filled with the widest landscape of greens and bright blue sky or is it leading me towards a waterfall?

Or not so dramatic, maybe just a quiet old farm or a suburban city?

Back when I was in primary school, the future seems so certain.  I know I have to get past primary school and enter secondary school.  The time before I enter University, during that brief period, the future at that point of time seems like an endless revolving abstract because I don't know where to go and what course to take.  After my parents decided for me what career I should pursue, for the next 5 years my future seems certain again.

After graduation, it felt like someone has took a bottle of water and mixed all my paint inside it and now my paints are twirling around in the bottle, giving me different mixture of colours all the time.

It's an endless question and an endless quest.  Unlike some people that I know, they have planned their route for maybe the next ten years down the road.

Am I doing it right?  Or am I doing it wrong?

What about you?  What's the painting of your future like?
